DB Backups

Backups of all the DBs are automated via cron and will be taken in the respective servers on a daily basis.
DBs are firstly downloaded to local system (Filezilla is already configured in Sysadmin system) and are burned to DVDs by the end of a week.
Local system location of DB backups: /backup/

Most of the Dbs are downloaded daily and some are bi-weekly.
Submit DVDs to accounts after writing.

File backups

The applications for which the file backup needs to be taken are provided in Annexure 2 of the google sheet.
The files needs to be compressed and downloaded manually as there is no cron added for the same.
Local system location of file backups: /data/Backup/

Backup files are written into the DB DVDs itself at the end of every week. (Logging into the google sheets needs to be done with exact DVD number)

Note: There is a separate procedure for taking the FILE backup of Jims application, because of it's tremendous size.
It is described in the wiki page http://192.168.1.103/mediawikisb/index.php/Jims_full_backup
JIMS backup dvds are also needs to be numbered and submitted in accounts.
